Ever wanted to learn C++? Here is your chance: check out the Secure Software Engineering Group’s new YouTube channel at SSE YouTube.
Paderborn University’s Secure Software Engineering research group, led by Professor Eric Bodden, offers an exciting range of software engineering courses. We just uploaded our C++ programming lecture this January and hope that it may be useful to you. Our class, designed and presented by Philipp Schubert, provides a high-level overview on C++ and is suited for novices as well as programmers coming from other languages. The lecture is accompanied by weekly exercise sheets available for download on the Heinz Nixdorf Institute website, which will help to deepen your skills.
If you further wish to improve your understanding of program analysis and compilers, you should also definitely check out Eric’s lecture on designing code analysis “DECA”. This course provides you with all the details on static program analysis. It will also help you develop an in-depth understanding of how your favorite optimizing C/C++ compiler works internally, what it can do for you, and how you can help the compiler produce optimal executable code.
