While our 2020 version of the C++ programming lecture has been reviewed by some members of the C++ standardization committee and generally perceived as a quite good course that may serve as a starting point for people who wish to learn this language, we collected the feedback and used it to improve this course even further.
The 2021 version of this course comprises various new topics as well as improvements in terms of presentation. We now refrain from presenting some shortcuts that make a beginner’s life easier but are generally considered to be don’ts. You can find the recordings of the updated version of this course among the other videos of the Secure Software Engineering Group’s YouTube channel at SSE YouTube. The course’s complete materials including exercise sheets, code snippets and final project to test you newly learned skills have been permanently made available at the Heinz Nixdorf Institute’s teaching websites.
The team at GaZAR not only offers full courses on topics such as C/C++ programming, program analysis, compilers, IT-security and more in an academic context, but also offers custom courses to our customers. We specially tailor courses depending on our customers‘ needs and desired time frame. Oftentimes developer teams do not have a whole semester to learn and master new skills; with pleasure we will condense the essence of complex topics into chunks that respect our customers‘ constraints.
